Dr. Kenzo Tenma, a skilled Japanese neurosurgeon in postwar Germany, chooses to save a young boy instead of a mayor. This decision leads to his career's downfall and entangles him in a conspiracy, as the boy turns out to be a serial killer. Tenma embarks on a desperate quest to stop the murderer and clear his name.
