Sawako Kuronuma, a shy and misunderstood high school girl nicknamed “Sadako” for her resemblance to a horror movie character, struggles to make friends. Her life changes when the popular boy Shouta Kazehaya reaches out to her. Through their growing friendship and budding romance, Sawako slowly comes out of her shell and learns to connect with others.
